Now this was a good time. Firstly, we went to Aandong on my birthday. Upon arrival, we very quickly went into a little Korean shop that was full of traditional Korean clothes. Naturally, we rented them for the day. It was excellent! Then we went down and explored the Hanok village and walked around and got to see traditional style homes in a beautiful location. At this village, there were some giant swings that were quite fun and the cherry blossoms were very pretty at this time of the year. There was also a tree that you could make wishes on. I would tell you what I wished for but… you know the rules. Aandong is famous for masks and each mask has a little story that goes along with it. So, we ventured over to one of the shows to see what the masks are all about. Strangely enough, I was chosen from the crowd to go dance in front of a whole bunch of Koreans dressed in their traditional clothes (which look a bit ridiculous by todays standards). Finally, we went to see the mask museum which featured masks from many different cultures.
