When you are living in the arctic, sometimes it can be hard to find ways to be active. Just recently, I have given cross country skiing a whirl. Cross country skiing definitely takes some getting used to. At times, cross country skiing is similar to snow shoeing (especially in the deep snow). Other times, cross country skiing feels more like slip-n-slide. My legs were moving but I stayed in the same spot. Eventually, I got the hang of it and could venture out. I still had several wipeouts and I still dont move very fast. Hopefully, I will get the hang of it and can give some tips and advice on how to be successful cross country skiing.
